Isochronic tones seems to improve my sleep

I haven't been listening to isochronic tones regularly for quite some time. This past week I've had severe sleeping problems, I haven't been able to sleep more that 3-4 hrs. Also my recurrent nightmare have been "haunting" me during my sleep, I have woken up with a pounding heart and feeling full of anxiety. Some nights I haven't been able to sleep at all, I've just grabbed a few hrs here and there during daytime, but even then I had nightmares.

Yesterday I felt so exhausted because of lack of proper sleep, so I decided to listen to isochronic tones again in the afternoon. First I listened to 15 minutes of  Gamma Brainwaves 40 Hz, later on I decided to take a nap. I went to bed with my mp3-player and headphones on, playing Sleep Aid with 1 hour Delta Waves and on my computer I had Rehabilitation of body and brain (by delta wave activity) 3 Hz playing on the speakers on repeat. I did sleep for maybe 1 and half hr. But I didn't feel well rested, so no more isochronic tones for the rest of the day and evening.

I went to bed early, I fell asleep around 9 pm, and I slept the whole night, no nighmares and I feel well rested today. Okay this is only one night, maybe it would have happened anyway, naturally, I don't know... I mean I was totally exhausted from almost 1 week of bad sleep. Now I've just listened 15 minutes to the gamma waves, I don't think I'll take a nap today, I feel too much awake for that, so I don't know if I will listen to anymore isochronic tones today... Maybe I'll listen to the "Sleep Aid" when it's time to go to sleep.

  1. Gamma is for heightened awareness. So that was not meant for getting rest. Delta waves after not sleeping would help you rest and recover. I think you may have been doing too much. Just my opinion and my personal experience.

  2. I agree with you, I'm not longer listening to the gamma waves in order to get some sleep. now I'm only listening to the video 'Sleep Aid with 1 hr Delta waves'. When I really have bad insomnia, I put in repeat throgh the whole night, sometimes it helps, other times not. I have a really busy mind that wakes me up at night.
